SCOPE
Reporting to the Director, Student Recruitment, the incumbent manages and implements the University's on-campus and virtual student recruitment portfolio targeting prospective students worldwide and provides leadership and expertise in support of the University's strategic enrolment management plan. This includes oversight of front-line daily prospective student services delivered through the Welcome Centre, as well as core on-campus and virtual recruitment services and initiatives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Provide leadership and managerial oversight for the on-campus and virtual student recruitment portfolio, including the university-wide Open House, admissions advising, campus tours, the student ambassador program, inter-university event partnerships, information sessions/events, and digital engagement initiatives. Oversee the operations of the Welcome Centre and recruitment administrative services as well as other recruitment portfolios as assigned.
•    Ensure the successful development, budgeting, execution and continuous assessment of strategic recruitment plans aligned with the University's enrolment objectives, including the identification of new initiatives, service models, delivery channels, and opportunities to strengthen the quality and diversity of the applicant pool.
•    Collaborate with the Recruitment management team to ensure a high-quality future student experience from inquiry to registration. Monitor key performance indicators and set objectives for growth.  Recommend unit budget allocations.  
•    Hire, train, supervise and motivate staff. Monitor performance and support continuous training and professional development to maintain staff expertise in university programs, policies, and evolving domestic and international recruitment market needs.
•    Design, implement, and oversee cross-unit recruitment initiatives involving faculty enrolment management staff, faculty recruiters, admissions staff, and related stakeholders, to enhance recruitment processes, services, and prospective student experiences.
•    Research and evaluate on-campus and virtual recruitment platforms, event management and virtual engagement tools, and analyze visitor participation trends, key performance indicators, post-event feedback, and benchmarking data. Interpret insights and student response to inform recruitment planning, continuous improvement, and decision-making in support of the University's enrolment goals.
•    Collaborate with the Enrolment and Recruitment Content Manager to develop innovative targeted email, print and digital campaigns to meet the needs of various constituents. 
•    Develop recommendations and strategies pertaining to the use of tools used in support of the university-wide recruitment operations, including the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system, event management systems, third-party lead generation platforms, and digital platforms. 
•    Act as a resource and subject matter expert to other internal units by advising on market trends, recruitment strategies, and best practices in recruitment and event management. 
•    Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of program offerings, enrolment policies and procedures, and campus services. Act as a primary resource to recruitment staff and coordinate with other internal stakeholders to resolve complex prospective student and applicant problems.  
•    Collaborate with key contacts at other institutions to share information and to develop joint-university initiatives.  Enhance both Concordia's profile and the visibility of the higher education sector in Quebec and Canada. 
•    Represent Concordia on various external committees.  
•    Represent Concordia at domestic and international recruitment events to engage prospective students, support the University's enrolment objectives, and build connections with institutions and professionals worldwide. 
•    Perform other duties in support of the operation of the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS
•    Bachelor's degree with four to seven years of relevant recruitment or admissions experience in a higher education institution with at least three years of supervisory leadership experience. 
•    Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.  
•    In-depth understanding of recruitment best practices, opportunities, and challenges. 
•    Advanced knowledge of national and international educational systems as well as knowledge of undergraduate admissions requirements and academic regulations policies and procedures.
•    Good knowledge (level 4) of spoken and written English and French in order to communicate effectively, develop and deliver presentations, and to draft correspondence, documentation, and reports. 
•    Good knowledge (intermediate level) of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  
•    Knowledge and experience using collaboration and project management tools. 
•    Exceptional public speaking skills. 
•    Proven ability to compile and analyze data, prepare reports, and make data-driven decisions to inform change.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to deal effectively and diplomatically with faculty, staff, students, and senior administrators.  
•    Strong planning, organizational, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and work under pressure with minimal supervision in a fast paced and high-pressure environment. 
•    Ability to manage diverse points of view, remain calm in conflict situations, and make reasoned decisions. 
•    Ability to work with constructive feedback from various university stakeholders. 
•    Possession of a valid driver's license, with full comfort driving in North America.
•    Possession of a valid passport, with the ability and comfort to travel domestically and internationally as required.
•    Ability to commit to extensive travels and evening and weekend schedules.
•    Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
•    Experience with international travel planning is an asset.
•    Familiarity with the Student Information System and CRM is an asset. 
•    Approachability (is sensitive and patient with others) and composure (is a calming influence in a difficult situation) are desirable qualities.
