Job Description

The senior copywriter is a member of the communications team and works to create content in collaboration with other teams, particularly advancement, which is responsible for managing the core fundraising activities of the organization. Primary responsibilities include writing print and digital media content, organizing communications projects, managing the family of WDP websites, helping to maintain social media channels, and contributing to creative conversations. This position is open to hybrid or remote work depending on the candidate and their location.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Content Creation

• Collaborate with the advancement and external communications teams to craft compelling copy for email, direct mail, blog articles, web, and social media
• Ghost write letters and other communications for leadership
• Write and edit both long- and short-form content. Subject matter is varied and may include: marketing and promotion for events, fundraising solicitations and stewardship, spiritual writing and commentary, history, and Dominicana
• Find appropriately licensed images to accompany written content
• Use Salesforce
