The opportunity

Own the
end‑to‑end product experience
from first prototype to launch: design the system that lets thousands (eventually millions) contribute signal—not noise. You'll define the
design language, component library, motion, and micro‑interactions
that make legitimacy legible (consensus + dissent), and implement the first production UI in React.

What you'll do

• Lead product
  IA, flows, and visual language
  for the MVP (post/support/escalation, digest views, and the public verifier).
• Design and implement
  React
  components (accessible, responsive) with clean
  CSS
  and thoughtful
  styling
  patterns.
• Build a compact
  design system
  (tokens, components, states, a11y) in
  Figma
  , and assist in translating it faithfully to code.
• Ship
  high‑clarity artifacts
  : Figma prototypes, motion specs, UI copy, redlines, and dev‑ready component specs.
• Partner with engineering to polish the
  consensus + dissent brief
  views (PDF previews) and the
  read‑only API
  consumer UIs.
• Iterate quickly: usability tests, heatmaps/analytics, and fast loop from signal → design → code.

What you bring

• JavaScript (ES6+)
  and
  React
  fluency; comfort wiring real components (no "design‑only" roles here).
• Strong CSS
  and
  styling
  craft (semantic HTML, responsive layouts, a11y/ARIA basics, dark/light, motion).
• Expert with
  Figma
  ; solid in
  Photoshop
  for assets; collaborative tooling in
  Lucidchart
  and
  Miro
  .
• Taste for
  systems
  : tokens, components, states, error/empty/loading, microcopy, and trust cues.
• Bonus: data‑viz instincts; ; Tailwind; PDF rendering experience; interest in human‑computer interaction and civic tech.

How we work

• Small, senior founding team;

Compensation & terms

• Pre‑funding (now):
  Service Promissory Note (SPN) at

  $140k–$185k USD
