Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development of Pre-Construction Services Agreements (PCSA) including contractor tendering, analysis, and presentation to the commercial team.
* Manage design progression from RIBA Stage 1 through Stage 4, ensuring successful planning approvals and compliance with:
* Building Safety Regulator (BSR) requirements
* Building Control standards
* Oversee the preparation and coordination of design documentation, including prescribed documents and subcontractor tender enquiries.
* Coordinate and manage the on-site design process during RIBA Stages 4 and 5 (Technical Design & Construction) in line with company design management procedures.
* Take responsibility for building services design coordination where a Building Services Manager is not available.
* Ensure that all design outputs meet project programme, quality, and compliance requirements.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in a Design Manager role within the construction industry
* Strong understanding of RIBA stages, particularly Stages 1–5
* Experience managing PCSA processes and contractor procurement
* Knowledge of planning approvals, BSR, and Building Control requirements
* Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and manage stakeholder engagement
* Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
