Job DescriptionLife doesn't always follow a fixed schedule. That's why we created the Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.
As a Armed Security Officer - Part Time in San Antonio, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeFri09:00 AM - 04:15 PMHow This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by following site-specific procedures, screening for security-related concerns, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with management and/or public emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, entry points, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related issues.
- Monitor high-traffic retail areas for suspicious behavior, disorderly conduct, and/or potential theft-related activity, reporting concerns according to post orders and company procedures.
- Support opening and closing activities, monitor restricted areas, and help to maintain a professional presence at the location while handling sensitive situations with sound judgment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas only.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
