Assignment Details: - Contract Length: 13 Weeks - Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Requirements: - Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of practice. - Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. - Previous experience in skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities: - Implement treatment plans designed by a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist residents in regaining independence in activities of daily living (ADLs). - Assist with resident evaluations and contribute to the documentation of functional status and progress toward goals. - Provide direct therapy services compassionately and safely to improve residents' mobility, cognition, and psychosocial functioning. - Monitor and document residents' responses to interventions, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist. - Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide relevant updates about residents' progress. - Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and safety techniques to encourage independence.
