Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational techniques. Craft individualized treatment plans addressing immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations. Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing. Seamlessly coordinate with a multidisciplinary team - including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians - to devise unified care plans. Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to maintain consistent care throughout treatment. Ensure meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with all relevant guidelines. Stay updated on advancements in speech pathology through continuous learning and collaborative efforts with peers. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment. Skills
