Description
Conduct evaluations on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through standardized assessments and clinical observations. Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Engage with patients and their families, providing education that encourages therapeutic progress outside of the clinical setting. Participate in periodic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the treatment continuum. Maintain precise and timely documentation in alignment with state, federal, and organizational standards. Commit to professional growth by staying abreast of advancements in the field via continuing education and peer collaboration. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of employment. Skills
