Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing established assessment tools and careful observation. Create customized therapy plans that focus on immediate objectives as well as long-term communication and swallowing goals. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that enhance communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams-including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers-to craft integrated care strategies. Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical encounters. Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapies to ensure a seamless continuum of care throughout the patient's journey. Maintain thorough and timely records in compliance with state and federal regulations. Engage in continuous professional development through educational opportunities and collaboration with peers. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending. Certifications Required
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment. Desired Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices for various age groups, with an emphasis on both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Capability to modify therapy techniques to accommodate individual cultural and linguistic needs.
