MRI Technologist - Concord Orthopaedics Starting Salary: From $48.00 per hour (Commensurate with experience, certification, and licensure) Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Potential for weekday coverage as needed) Job Type: Per Diem | Location: In-person (Concord, NH) Position Summary Concord Orthopaedics is seeking a dedicated, clinically trained MRI Technologist to join our team in a per diem capacity. This is an exciting time to join our department as we prepare for the arrival of a new, high-performance MRI scanner scheduled for installation in early Summer 2026. The MRI Technologist operates the scanner to produce high-quality diagnostic images essential for accurate orthopedic diagnosis. This role requires a professional who can balance technical expertise with compassionate patient care, ensuring that every individual feels comfortable and safe throughout the imaging process. Job Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence: Perform diagnostic MRI procedures in accordance with established scope of practice and departmental standards. Patient Safety & Screening: Conduct comprehensive safety screenings and patient interviews, ensuring all contraindications are identified prior to the exam. Workflow Integration: Assess pertinent clinical information and prepare patients for procedures by setting clear expectations and ensuring proper positioning. Operational Efficiency: Maintain high levels of productivity and adaptability to meet department needs and patient volumes. Documentation: Accurately utilize EMR and PACS systems for patient charting and study management. Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to departmental policies, professional standards, and state/federal regulatory requirements, including modality-specific safety protocols. Job Requirements
Education: Graduate of an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Certification: Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with current ARRT(MR) certification. Licensure: Current New Hampshire State Medical Imaging License. Experience: Minimum of six months of supervised clinical MRI scanning experience. Orthopaedic experience is strongly preferred. Life Safety: Current CPR/BLS certification. Skills:Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to maintain composure during stressful situations.

Lifting/Movement: Regularly lift, carry, or push/pull up to 50 lbs; frequently 10-25 lbs; and occasionally 50-100 lbs (with assistance). Mobility: Frequently required to walk, stand, bend, kneel, squat, and reach. Fine Motor Skills: Frequent use of fine motor skills and repetitive motion for equipment operation and documentation. Senses: Must possess acute hearing and speech for patient communication, as well as specific vision abilities including color vision, depth perception, and near/far peripheral vision.
