Description
Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing standardized assessments and keen observational skills. Design individualized treatment strategies targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver focused speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language fluency, voice quality, and swallowing functions. Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure a holistic approach to care. Provide educational resources and support for patients and families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, maintaining a cohesive care experience throughout treatment. Ensure precise and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational policies. Engage in professional development and stay informed about advancements in the speech-language field through ongoing education and peer engagement. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not ASHA-certified yet. Certifications
Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
