Position: Locum Tenens CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) - General Anesthesia
Location: Cumberland, MD 21502 (Western Maryland) - Maryland CRNA jobs, Cumberland healthcare
Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,500 - $5,800 (competitive locum tenens pay)
Assignment Duration: 42 weeks (March 13, 2026 - December 31, 2026)
Shifts per Week: 5
Shift Options: 8-hr (7:00 AM-3:30 PM), 10-hr (7:00 AM-5:30 PM), or 12-hr (7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
Facility/Setting: Regional medical center with 9 anesthesia rooms; supervised by MDs (approx. 4:1 CRNA to MD ratio)
Charting System: EPIC (EPIC charting experience preferred)
Case Mix: Broad perioperative surgical case mix - general anesthesia focus
CRNA Job Requirements / Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist); locum tenens CRNA experience preferred
Current active RN license or willingness to obtain Maryland state license (Maryland CRNA licensure)
Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
Current certification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (or recertified)
Board certification or completion of required fellowship
Proven perioperative assessment, airway management, and general anesthesia skills
Comfortable documenting anesthesia care in EPIC and collaborating with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff
CRNA Responsibilities / Clinical Duties Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and perioperative risk evaluations for a wide surgical case mix
Obtain and verify informed patient consent for anesthesia; counsel patients and families on anesthetic options and risks
Provide induction, maintenance, and emergence from general anesthesia across cases
Perform advanced airway management and monitor patient physiologic parameters; recognize changes and intervene promptly
Accurately document anesthesia care in EPIC and maintain clear communication with the perioperative team
Serve as a collaborative anesthesia provider within a team-oriented regional medical center (team-based anesthesia, CRNA-led care)
