*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance, specifically with small engines. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and providing exceptional customer service. The technician will work with various equipment types, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.
*Duties*
* Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawn mowers, generators, and other outdoor power equipment.
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Utilize hand tools and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.
* Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
* Assist in sales by recommending products or services based on customer needs.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
* Perform heavy lifting as required when moving equipment or parts.
*Skills*
* Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair preferred.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Electrical experience is a plus for diagnosing electrical issues in small engines.
* Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous for certain repair tasks.
* Ability to lift heavy objects as needed during repairs or maintenance activities.
* Experience with Caterpillar equipment is beneficial but not mandatory.
* Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 80 per week
