About the team The Recorded Music Revenue Assurance team is responsible for the tracking, recognition, application, and analysis of revenues and artist royalties derived from third‑party licensing, primarily revenues related to synchronization licensing, soundtracks, samples, compilations, and licensed merchandise across WMG’s family of labels globally.
We support a number of teams across WMG in the execution of their responsibilities, including the licensing administration teams, frontline and catalog royalties, royalty audit, legal and rights enforcement, accounting operations and label business affairs, as well as external parties such as licensing clients and artist management.
Your role The Other Master Use Licensing Analyst oversees all aspects of recorded music licensing revenue as related to third‑party soundtracks and compilations, samples, and label exclusivity waivers for side‑artist participations. Through collaboration with the licensing administration teams and utilization of internal databases and SAP, this role will assist the Revenue Assurance team in ensuring the accurate processing, reporting, and analysis of revenues and expenses related to third‑party licensing.
Here you’ll get to
Oversee the ‘other’ master use licensing revenue process for WMG, including accurately identifying and matching incoming payments to corresponding licensing deals, determining and obtaining the relevant statements, and closely supporting the various label licensing teams.
Research unidentified accountings using various internal resources and by contacting third‑party licensees, clients, and/or other vendors; professionalism and discretion are required.
Prepare monthly licensing entries to account for all domestic revenues received and allocate earnings from third‑parties to the appropriate labels and artists.
Proactively research, resolve, and process aged, unallocated cash related to ‘other’ master use licensing; collaborate closely with licensees and the label licensing teams to obtain necessary documentation in the event of refunds.
Prepare ad‑hoc licensing reports related to ‘other’ master use licensing revenues, agreements, and royalty statements for various internal stakeholders as needed.
Support royalty audit teams in compiling documentation and other support required for audit fieldwork.
Perform various research projects related to third‑party licenses and payments as needed.
Assist with any other duties and tasks related to the team’s roles and responsibilities that may be assigned by senior management from time to time.

You possess excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
You have strong computer skills, including data entry and data analysis with an emphasis on accuracy and problem solving.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP), Word, and Outlook; familiarity with Microsoft Office Outlook’s Access application is strongly preferred.
You can meet deadlines consistently while working under pressure and time restraints.
You can manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects at any given time.
You have familiarity with SAP financial applications (preferred, but not required).
You understand core finance and accounting principles.
You are passionate about the success of Warner Music Group’s artists.

A strong passion for music across a wide array of different genres.
0–2 years of experience in the music and entertainment industry, particularly with a background in recorded music licensing and/or artist royalties.
A core understanding of basic industry concepts and familiarity with contractual terminology and structure.
Background in process improvement, automation, lean/agile methodologies.
Salary Range Salary Range: $25.64 to $28.67 Hourly. Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on a variety of internal and external factors.
