Candidate must have strong C/C++ skills, is energetic, creative and team oriented to work on latest SATCOM modem and networking technologies. The individual will be part of an engineering team that develops embedded networking and application software using latest tool chains from Atlassian in an agile software development environment. The position is based in our Germantown, Maryland office. Software design, development, integration and support activities Actively participate in software development and automated unit testing Complete development tasks within agreed time box Analyze and resolve software issues C++ Development experience (1-7 years, but more senior candidates are welcome to apply) Experience with scripting, ideally using Python or Shell Experience in multi-threaded application development and inter-process communication Experience with networking protocols, messaging libraries, socket programming Candidate must be a US Citizen and hold an active Top Secret (TS) clearance Experience with Git for source control Experience with web development using technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, jQuery and Node.JS Experience of agile development methodology, especially Scrum and Atlassian tools like Jira
