Emergency Room RN - PRN We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Nurses (ER Nurse) to join our team. Our Emergency Room is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for providing top-notch patient care. If you are a dedicated healthcare professional with a track record of success in the ER setting, we would love to hear from you! Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities & Duties
Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on severity Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians Monitor patient vital signs and document medical information Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and healthcare team members Provide wound care and emergency medical interventions Prepare patients for surgeries, procedures, and diagnostic tests Educate patients and their families about medical conditions and treatments Maintain a sterile and safe working environment Respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols Assist in the management of patient admissions and discharges Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families Conduct ongoing assessments and reassessments of patient conditions Ensure accurate and detailed patient records and reports Perform diagnostic tests, such as EKGs and blood draws Handle administrative tasks, including ordering supplies and maintaining equipment
Emergency Room Nurse Qualifications & Skills
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification Triage nurse training Experience in a high-volume emergency room Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends Strong problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems Experience with critical care or trauma nursing Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to handle high-stress situations Excellent time management and organizational skills Compassionate and patient-oriented approach Attention to detail and accuracy Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods Familiarity with medical equipment and emergency procedures
