Purpose and Objective SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer at our Manhattan, NY location to develop and automate infrastructure and workflows, to streamline software delivery.
Expectations and Tasks Enable seamless software delivery, ensure application health, and optimize operational performance by fostering collaboration across teams. Drives automation, compliance and best practices to enhance software delivery efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, such as Application and Platform Engineering, to ensure smooth and frequent software delivery and improve software performance and health. Monitor system performance and work with cross-functional teams to incorporate incident feedback into future updates. Ensure compliance and effectiveness in software delivery and operational standards.
Education and Occupational Experience Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications and Skills
Building and managing CSPM/CNAPP tools in large enterprise environments (>50M assets);
Cloud security and infrastructure roles across AWS, Azure and GCP;
Developing and configuring automated deployment scripts and pipelines using CI/CD tools including Jenkins and Azure DevOps;
Version control systems including Git, GitHub workflows, and integrating CI/CD pipelines;
Monitoring and logging tools including ELK, Prometheus, or Grafana;
Writing Ansible scripts to develop baseline hardened OS images;
Development of enterprise scale CSPM solutions for containerization using Docker and Kubernetes; and
Translating security policy to writing security controls using Terraform.

Compensation Range Transparency The annual base salary range for this position is $189,592 - $222,288. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step towards an honest pay equity. The total compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target is $189,592 - $252,600. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
