Description Job Summary The Resale Store Sales Associate supports the mission of Katy Christian Ministries by providing excellent customer service, assisting with sales transactions, merchandising, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. This position plays a vital role in generating revenue to support the organization’s programs and services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet and assist all customers in a friendly, courteous, and helpful manner Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently Process transactions including vouchers, gift certificates, and refunds Assist with end-of-shift reconciliation and sales tally Clean, stock, and stage merchandise throughout the store Identify name brands, current fashion trends, and antique furniture to ensure accurate
pricing Prepare merchandise for sale, including sorting, pricing, hanging, tagging, and cleaning Stage furniture and merchandise to create attractive and shoppable displays Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of dressing rooms and restrooms Crosstrain in all areas of the store to support team operations as needed Attend all required staff meetings, training sessions, and departmental gatherings Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or leadership Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Retail or customer service experience preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Attention to detail and visual merchandising skills Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods Flexibility to work weekends and holidays Knowledge of fashion, home décor, and furniture trends is a plus Work Environment Fast-paced retail setting with frequent customer interaction Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion Exposure to varying temperatures in donation and backroom areas Katy Christian Ministries is an Equal Employment Opportunity Organization.
