Provide friendly, quality customer care with compassion and enthusiasm Answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect patient histories Process invoices and payments accurately Greet clients and pets upon arrival and communicate patient needs to the medical team Determine immunization and wellness status of incoming patients Manage prescription, food, and product requests under veterinarian guidance Accurately input data into our practice management software Maintain a clean, organized, and positive front desk environment Collaborate with the entire Barkfield team to deliver a next-level client experience Note: This is not an exhaustive list of duties. What You'll Do As a Veterinary Receptionist at Barkfield Animal Hospital, you will serve as the first point of contact for our clients and patients while helping support efficient daily hospital operations.
Providing warm, compassionate, and professional customer service Answering phones and scheduling appointments Greeting clients and patients upon arrival Collecting patient histories and communicating updates to the medical team Processing invoices and payments accurately Managing prescription, food, and product requests under veterinarian guidance Maintaining accurate records within our practice management software Supporting a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk environment Collaborating closely with veterinarians and support staff to deliver excellent patient and client care This is a collaborative team environment, and responsibilities may evolve based on hospital needs and workflow. What We're Looking For
Minimum 1 year of veterinary or medical reception experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Strong multitasking and communication skills Comfortable with technology, email, and digital scheduling systems Positive, team-oriented mindset Compassion for both pets and their people Ability to remain organized and adaptable in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift 30-50 lbs as needed Availability for occasional weekend scheduling support Why Join Barkfield Animal Hospital?
