Job Description BIICS, Inc is looking to fill a Sr. .Net Web Applications Developer position.The position is located in Tallahassee, Florida with an onsite work schedule. Consultantsare required to be off the week of Christmas and New Year unless services arerequired with prior approval from division leadership.
Responsibilities
Understandingthe project requirements and project goals and using that understanding toproduce deliverables.
Working withBusiness Analysts to create and/or update project, technical, and trainingmaterials as needed.
Activelyparticipate in meetings or other project activities to produce projectdeliverables.
Communicatingaccomplishments to BA to produce weekly status reports that outlineaccomplishments and planned activities for the following week.
Communicatingproject progress and information to key stakeholders.
Assisting inthe preparation of information for the program leadership team, executivesteering committee, and Project Manager as appropriate.
Ensuringtechnical direction and standards for infrastructure and software applicationsare being followed.
Understandingstrategic project direction and tactical goals and effectively participating inthe development and implementation of business solutions.
Assistingboth internal and external resources to achieve business solutions withinproject guidelines.
Identifyingand eliminating obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementation.Assist in the development and implementation of contingency plans.
Participatingin conference calls with state and federal stakeholders, as necessary.
Researchingand maintaining knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application tothe project/program.
Requirements
Bachelor ofScience/Arts degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems Degree,or a related field preferred.
Minimum 7years of experience developing web applications.
Minimum 7years of experience producing technical documentation related to requirements,specifications, traceability matrices, designs, or testing.
Minimum 7years of experience testing custom applications, reports, large data sets, ordashboards.
Minimum 7years of experience developing in the .Net architecture.
Minimum 7years of experience in C# programming language.
Minimum 4years of experience in PL/SQL or TSQL preferred.
Minimum 3years of experience in MVC.
Minimum 2years of experience in HTML5 preferred.
Proficiencywith Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Ability towork with other Developers and Project Managers under the leadership of aProject Manager.
Demonstratedexperience with large-scale implementation projects.
Collaborationwith multiple stakeholder groups with diverse and competing needs andexpectations.
Experienceworking in state government, specifically in the field of Education or EarlyLearning is preferred.
Preferred
Minimum 4 years of experience in PL/SQL or TSQL.
Experience working in state government, specifically in the field of Education or Early Learning.
