Job Overview Internal Audit Data Analytics team is looking for a dedicated team player who shares our passion for data and process improvement to provide analytics support to our Internal Audit organization. The role reports to the Data Analytics Sr. Manager - Internal Audit and will play an integral role in advancing the data analytics goals and skill sets of the Internal Audit (IA) function. The position will actively drive the integration of data analytics and associated data visualizations into internal audit projects to deliver innovative, insightful, and actionable analyses. It provides data visibility across all business and functional units, developing reporting/analytics solutions for risk assessments, audit execution, continuous monitoring, and special projects. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Develop analytical scripts, tests, and analytical reports using Alteryx, SQL, Python, PySpark/Spark-based queries. Design, build, and maintain scalable data analytics solutions within Databricks (notebooks, workflows, pipelines, reusable analytics assets) to support audit execution and continuous monitoring. Use AI-enabled tools and techniques for audit analytics activities (data profiling, pattern detection, natural language querying, code assistance, anomaly detection, text analytics, predictive insights). Lead development of ad-hoc and continuous monitoring reporting to support internal investigations, special projects, and ongoing monitoring of various risk areas. Design and deliver dashboards and interactive reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools, enabling stakeholders to explore data, monitor risks, identify exceptions, and make informed decisions. Partner with Internal Audit leadership to embed data analytics, automation, visualization, AI insights, and continuous monitoring into internal audit processes. Collaborate with audit teams to define audit objectives, understand business processes and risks, identify data analytics opportunities, document requirements, and develop analytics approaches. Engage leadership and stakeholders to present recommendations on new analytics-based and AI-enabled initiatives. Identify, evaluate, and obtain access to enterprise data sources for audit analytics, continuous risk monitoring, dashboard development, and projects. Work with structured and unstructured data from enterprise systems (ERP, finance, operational, compliance, third‑party). Build repeatable, well‑documented, and validated analytics workflows reusable across audits, monitoring programs, and business risk areas. Review project work papers, analytics workflows to ensure proper documentation, data validation, and completion. Apply data governance, privacy, security, and access control practices for sensitive data. Promote data analytics, AI, automation, and visualization skills among colleagues through mentoring, training, and tool recommendations. Stay current with emerging technologies (AI, ML, cloud data platforms, Databricks, visualization tools, automation solutions, audit analytics trends). Educational & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field; or equivalent experience. Minimum 7 years of professional experience in data analytics, audit analytics, risk management, public accounting, internal audit, compliance, finance analytics, or related field. Strong experience retrieving, transforming, analyzing, and validating data using SQL, Alteryx, Python, PySpark, Spark, Databricks. Hands‑on experience working in Databricks (notebooks, clusters, jobs/workflows, Delta tables, pipelines, collaboration). Experience developing analytics solutions in cloud-based or Lakehouse data environments preferred. Experience applying AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics to business, risk, finance, audit, compliance, or investigative use cases. Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve analytics development, automate data analysis, generate insights, summarize large datasets, or accelerate dashboards. Strong experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik). Demonstrated experience designing dashboards, scorecards, interactive reports, exception reports, executive summaries. Experience with data storytelling translating complex analyses into insights and actionable recommendations. Experience with SAP or other ERP data (finance, procurement, order‑to‑cash, procure‑to‑pay, inventory, compliance) preferred. Experience with robotic process automation, process mining, workflow automation preferred. Certifications in Alteryx, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, cloud data, audit, risk, or data analytics preferred. Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements Strong SQL query development skills. Analytical skills in data mining, statistical analysis, business intelligence, data visualization, and exception reporting. Knowledge of Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, or similar programming languages. Knowledge of Databricks (notebooks, data engineering workflows, Delta Lake). Ability to build user‑friendly dashboards supporting risk identification, audit execution, continuous monitoring, and decision‑making. Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts (anomaly detection, predictive analytics, clustering, classification, text analytics, NLP). Responsible use of AI-enabled tools with human oversight, validation, data privacy, and governance. Business and financial acumen linking processes, risks, controls, systems, and data. Understanding of internal audit function and advisory role. Translate audit, risk, business questions into data requirements, analytics, visualizations, and insights. Strong data quality and validation mindset. Strong documentation skills for analytics logic, data sources, assumptions, validation steps, limitations, and conclusions. Interpersonal skills for cross‑team collaboration and influence. Excellent oral and written communication, explaining technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver high‑quality work in dynamic environment. Self‑starter motivated to lead change, improve processes, and enhance the IA data analytics capabilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting internal audit, compliance, SOX, finance, operational risk, fraud detection, third‑party risk, or enterprise risk management analytics. Experience with large enterprise datasets and integration from multiple systems. Experience building reusable analytics frameworks, audit testing libraries, continuous monitoring dashboards, or automated exception reporting. Experience with cloud data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, or Lakehouse architectures. Familiarity with data governance, lineage, privacy, security, and access management. Experience with audit management systems, GRC platforms, ERP systems, financial reporting systems. Curiosity and interest in emerging technologies (generative AI, ML, process mining, automation, advanced visualization).
