About
Software Design Engineer for the Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) team. Our team is responsible for supporting the ground systems maintenance of the F-22 aircraft. IMIS hardware/software connects to the aircraft automating numerous processes to improve maintenance performance and reduce management, supervisory, and technical overhead. The F-22 IMIS applications reduce man-hours needed to service, troubleshoot, and repair the F-22 aircraft. What You Will Be Doing As the Software Design Engineer you will be responsible for developing system level requirements for new software capabilities, working with systems engineering to develop mid level and low level design, exploring how to integrate new software tools into legacy code base, creating systems engineering artifacts (architecture diagrams, system flows, design documents, etc.), and coordinating development plans with systems, software, and test teams. Your responsibilities will include: Working the redesign and architecture of IMIS applications Performing subsystem level requirements decomposition and traceability Leading technical trade studies Working with internal and external stakeholders to make sure requirements are testable and verification documentation is available Coordinating large scale development projects and setting project milestones Collaborate with developers and engineers to implement designs, guide the development process, and ensuring compliance with requirements What's In It For You: 3 day weekends every weekend! Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $113,900 - $200,905. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
