About
Conduct assessments of patients spanning pediatric to geriatric populations using established evaluations and keen observational skills. Create tailored treatment strategies that consider both immediate goals and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver hands-on speech therapy focusing on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing needs. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to sculpt effective care pathways. Engage with patients and families providing essential insights to facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions. Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a smooth care experience throughout the patient's rehabilitation. Accurately document patient progress and therapy plans in accordance with applicable regulatory and organizational standards. Commit to ongoing education and professional growth through peer mentorship and continuous learning opportunities. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first month of employment. Skills
