Redefine Communication in Georgia - Become Our Next Speech Language PathologistOverview Imagine a career that not only fulfills your professional ambitions but also lends a voice to others. As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Georgia's flourishing communities, you'll do more than tackle communication and swallowing difficulties. You will unlock doors to potential, rejuvenate confidence, and foster deep connections - from little ones uttering their first syllables to seniors regaining their voices and independence. This exciting role offers a chance to work with a diverse population spanning all ages in a unique environment that combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient responsibilities. Whether your passion lies in pediatric speech development, adult neurogenic disorders, or geriatric language rehabilitation, you will find both satisfaction and flexibility in your work. Description
Perform comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric cohorts utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment plans that focus on immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver focused speech therapy interventions aimed at improving communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills. Engage in collaborative care with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to create unified care strategies. Provide educational support to patients and families to enhance progress beyond the clinical setting. Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment experience. Maintain detailed and timely records in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Commit to professional growth by staying abreast of developments in the field through ongoing education and peer teamwork. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based treatments for all age groups, combined with a strong grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges. Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Ability to modify therapy techniques to honor diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Proficient clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation procedures. Benefits
Attractive salary commensurate with experience. Flexible scheduling designed to promote work-life balance and varied case management. Specialization opportunities in pediatric, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care. Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday bonuses. Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages. Support for continuing education and professional advancement. Collaborative work environment centered around excellence in care and lifelong learning.
A Journey That Enriches You and Those You Serve In this role, you will not merely dispense speech therapy; you will step into a community-focused mission devoted to restoring voices, enhancing communication, and forging moments of joy through fundamental human interactions: both giving and receiving understanding. Work alongside colleagues who embody teamwork and unity, fostering an environment where every clinician supports another. Each patient arrives with a narrative; your role will be pivotal in crafting that story's trajectory.
