About
Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and elderly groups through use of standardized tests and observational methods. Create individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver focused speech therapy sessions that hone in on communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing function. Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, guardians, and families to establish unified care plans. Provide educational resources for patients and families, equipping them with tools to support progress beyond the clinical setting. Facilitate occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity in care throughout the patient's journey. Maintain organized, precise documentation in compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations. Keep abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaborations with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not obtained. Certifications
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of joining. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based treatments across all age groups, with a deep knowledge of both developmental and acquired communication, language, and swallowing disorders. Proficient interpersonal communication capabilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to tailor therapy methods to meet varying cultural and linguistic requirements.
