Performing in-depth patient evaluations, arranging necessary diagnostic tests, and developing customized treatment plans Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health concerns alongside physicians or autonomously (depending on credentials) Imparting knowledge to patients and their families regarding health maintenance, prevention, and chronic disease management Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with your practice scope Engaging in patient follow-up and overseeing long-term care strategies Collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive care Maintaining accurate and thorough records in electronic medical systems Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Required Certifications
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Washington National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure within 90 days) Skills That Set You Apart
