About
Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions that focus on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing aspects. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop holistic care plans. Educate patients and their families to foster progress outside of clinical settings. Occasionally conduct inpatient evaluations and provide interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout the recovery process. Maintain diligent documentation that complies with all applicable state, federal, and organization standards. Keep up-to-date with field advancements through ongoing education initiatives and peer collaboration. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for diverse populations, with a strong grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
