Note: Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level. The Multimodality Technologist, supervised by a Radiologist, performs imaging in two or more disciplines. At least 25% of their work focuses on advanced areas like CT, MR, Nuc Med, or IR. They work with ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or licensed provider for diagnosing disease and injury, following established protocols. Essential functions of the role include:
Performing high-quality multimodality procedures according to exam protocol promptly. Demonstrating expertise of radiation dose reference levels and monitoring. Utilizing AIDET to communicate with patients. Preparing the patient and area for the procedure. Protecting patients and employees by following safety, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies. Maintaining equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards. Obtaining, verifying, and maintaining all relevant documentation. Maintaining medical imaging records in appropriate systems.
Key success factors include:
Performing high quality multimodality procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner. Explaining the procedure and putting patients at ease. Providing services timely, accurately, and cost-efficient in compliance with established System and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures. Performing tasks autonomously without need for routine oversight. Staying calm and helpful during stress. Taking reasonable steps to resolve issues. Effectively administering first aid and using the emergency cart. Ensuring customer satisfaction by limiting wait times and providing courteous service. Demonstrating and maintaining current knowledge, continued education, and skills appropriate care for all age groups. Serving as a preceptor by providing quality training to new team members. Also, training current teams about new services and initiatives. Taking call, if required.
