No two days are the same. Youll combine hands-on technical work with problem-solving and customer collaboration. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade advanced semiconductor equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using digital tools and analytics Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across: Electrical, mechanical, vacuum, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems Interpret schematics and technical documentation to resolve faults Work directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and high satisfaction Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and performance What Were Looking For Youre someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working hands-on, and building strong relationships with customers. Minimum Requirements Associate degree (or higher) in a relevant technical discipline 2+ years experience in field service, customer support, or a technical role Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics Experience troubleshooting technical systems or equipment Basic understanding of: Mechanics, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, or vacuum systems Familiarity with tools (including digital multimeters) Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to meet on-site safety and environmental requirements Working Pattern & Travel Flexible availability required for a 24/7 shift environment Willingness to travel for up to 10 weeks of training Approx. 20% travel as part of the role The Reality of the Role This is a physically active, hands-on position. You should be comfortable with: Standing and walking for extended periods Working in confined spaces and at height Lifting up to 35 lbs (approx. 16 kg) Working in cleanroom environments with full PPE Exposure to noise and technical working environments Make an Impact At Applied Materials, your work directly supports the technology that connects the world.
