Contract-to-Hire Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled
Palantir Data Engineer or a very solid data engineer with Python Developer
to support mission-critical government and defense initiatives. This role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, integrating complex datasets, and developing analytics solutions using Palantir technologies such as
Foundry
and
Gaia/Gaya . Candidates with direct Palantir experience are strongly preferred; however, strong Data Engineers with deep Python development experience and modern data engineering expertise will also be considered. This position supports sensitive government programs, requiring candidates to work in secure environments and collaborate closely with cross-functional technical and operational teams. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows Build and optimize data integration solutions within
Palantir Foundry Develop Python-based applications, automation scripts, and backend services Work with structured and unstructured datasets from multiple secure sources Support data modeling, transformation, and analytics initiatives Collaborate with engineering, operations, and government stakeholders to deliver mission-focused solutions Ensure compliance with security and data governance standards Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize large-scale data processing workflows Contribute to architecture discussions and technical solution design Required Qualifications Strong experience as a
Data Engineer
or
Python Developer Hands-on Python development experience Experience building enterprise data pipelines and data integration workflows Strong SQL and database experience Experience with cloud and distributed data environments Ability to work onsite 2–3 days per week based on program needs Active
Secret Clearance
required or ability to obtain one U.S. Citizenship required Preferred Qualifications Experience with
Palantir Foundry Experience with
Palantir Gaia/Gaya Active
SCI Clearance Experience supporting Department of Defense or federal government programs Familiarity with big data technologies, APIs, and real-time data processing Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization technologies Ideal Candidate Profile Strong Palantir engineering background OR highly capable Data Engineer with advanced Python expertise Comfortable working in secure, mission-driven environments Able to collaborate across technical and operational teams Open to relocation to defense-focused client locations if needed Additional Information Hybrid onsite schedule required Contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term growth potential Fast-moving hiring process for qualified candidates with Palantir experience and active clearance credentials
