Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques to inform treatment. Create tailored treatment plans that address immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties. Engage with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches. Empower patients and their families with valuable education to foster progress beyond the therapy sessions. Support the team with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care delivery throughout the treatment continuum. Maintain diligent and accurate documentation in alignment with all regulatory and organizational standards. Stay at the forefront of the industry by participating in continuing education and collaborative learning with peers. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been attained. Certifications
Licensed to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
