Essential job duties:
Conduct screening interviews at the center or at other community agencies and institutions with applicants seekingadmission to the program. Confer with referral agents and other extra-agency personnel concerning prospectivebeneficiaries and request written background information when necessary. Screen individuals on the phone whenappropriate. Determine program eligibility or referral based on the personal interview and written information.2. Refer ineligible applicants to other, more appropriate community agencies and institutions.3. Process admitted beneficiaries via program/available services orientation. Explain applicable rules and regulations.4. Obtain necessary signatures on all formal agreements; ensure new intake understands all key points.5. Initiate case record folders, complete all data entry in all pertinent areas of the ARC software (BITS), make ID cards.6. Dispense clothing requisitions- for new intakes. Take personal inventories of clothing and other belongings and arrangedormitory assignments in cooperation with Resident Manager; scheduling interviews with the Counselor or Chaplain.7. Maintain ongoing contact with current and prospective referral sources to ensure referrals are kept at an adequate levelto maintain program integrity. Devote a minimum of four (4) hours weekly to direct outreach in surroundingcommunities using an ARC vehicle.8. Attendance at inter-agency meetings and conferences as needed or required.9. Preparation of any reports or statistical information as required by Administrator for Program.10. Maintain confidentiality of all records, including discharged files, as needed and required for program operation (CFR42 & HIPAA). Prepare beneficiary files w/blank forms required by ARC Command.11. Crosstrain to cover Program Aide tasks as needed.12. Other duties as assigned by Administrator for Program.
Qualifications to be considered for this position: • BA in a Social Service field preferred• Two (2) years of verifiable professional related experience required• High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required• Possession of a valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record required• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, MSWord, Excel, and Access with ability to learn additional software asappropriate.• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail• Professional judgment and integrity in holding in confidence all information pertaining to beneficiaries, families, andco-workers• Effective written and verbal communication skills• Strong customer service skills with the ability to work with diverse populations Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour Qualifications Education Preferred
Bachelors or better in Social Work
Licenses & Certifications Required
Driver's License
Experience Required
Two (2) years of verifiable professional related experience.
High School graduate or equivalent (GED).
Possession of a valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
Preferred
BA in a Social Service field.
