Schedule 12-Hour Night Shifts Job Description The Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The role requires a nurse with a strong background in critical care, proficient in managing higher acuity patients, and skilled in rapid assessment and intervention in postoperative settings. ResponsibilitiesProvide care for patients post-anesthesia, focusing on vital monitoring and airway management. Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, prioritizing care based on acuity. Manage pain control and sedation for patients postoperatively. Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgical teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Handle high-stress situations with clear communication and decisive action. Utilize protocols and time-based reassessments for patient prioritization. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureMinimum pediatric experience and proficiency with ICU-level care. Experience with kidney transplant patients, including knowledge of immunosuppression risks. Familiarity with Neuro IR procedures and associated postoperative complications. Prior experience with bariatric patients and understanding of related airway risks. Current BLS Certification. Flu vaccine required - no exemptions or exceptions. Why ARMStaffing?
