No Overtime or travel required Free Parking Provided Licensed professional nurses who provide support to Registered Nurses in a variety of State facilities, programs and settings. Incumbents observe, identify and document any changes, negative or positive in the condition of the incarcerated individual, promptly reports any changes to a RN to facilitate nursing care plans; demonstrates knowledge of basic nursing skills within the framework of case findings, health teaching, counseling and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN must have experience in fast paced working environments, with medication administration, they must know how to obtain a complete set of vital signs, gather information to report accurately to an RN, they must be able to follow directions given by the facility RNS, a supervising RN or a primary care provider. The LPN must arrive on time to their scheduled shift, they must be able to complete their assigned work duties in a timely manner, they must possess organizational skills, and work autonomously under an RN. A criminal history check must be completed before the candidate is granted entrance into the facility. The results may take 7-10 business days for processing. Licensed professional nursing tasks and activities include: but are not limited to: providing nursing care to individuals; administering treatment and medications within established guidelines and as prescribed by licensed health care providers. NYS State License Required Salary commensurate with scope of work job experience Proper footwear required to perform tasks in a safe manner. Perform other reasonably related duties as required.
