Your Role
Conduct assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized evaluations and observational insights. Create tailored treatment plans that support immediate objectives along with long-term needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing. Deliver individualized speech therapy targeting communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to devise integrated care strategies. Provide invaluable educational guidance to patients and their families, empowering them to progress outside of clinical settings. Participate in infrequent inpatient speech therapy assessments, ensuring seamless continuity of care for patients. Document patient interactions in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies on a timely basis. Keep abreast of the latest developments in speech-language pathology by actively participating in continuing education and peer exchanges. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if you have yet to attain ASHA certification. Certifications
Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferably, hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment. Skills
Skilled in employing evidence-based treatment methods across all age groups, with comprehensive knowledge about developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication abilities and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, their families, and a diverse healthcare team. Capability to adapt therapy delivery to accommodate various cultural and linguistic requirements. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving aptitude.
