About
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning all age groups using validated assessments and observational insights. Craft tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate goals and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver individualized therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge well-rounded care plans. Provide education for patients and families to enable progress outside of therapy sessions. Facilitate inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care. Keep precise and timely documentation in concordance with state, federal, and organizational mandates. Engage in ongoing education and collaborative discussions to stay abreast of advancements in the field. Qualifications
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills
