Territory Western Pennsylvania & Eastern Ohio
This role is responsible for developing new business, growing existing customer relationships, and promoting Dover Hydraulics’ repair services and SunSource’s fluid power products and solutions. The position offers a competitive base salary plus uncapped commission, including a transitional income guarantee when applicable.
Essential Functions
Develop and grow relationships with existing and prospective industrial customers
Identify opportunities for hydraulic repair services, cylinder repair, and fluid power products
Generate new business through prospecting, customer visits, and account development activities
Conduct customer presentations and recommend solutions based on operational needs
Collaborate with operations and service teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated and executed
Maintain accurate sales activity, customer information, and opportunity tracking within company systems
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities
Resolve customer concerns and provide exceptional service throughout the sales process
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to maintain industry knowledge
Travel throughout the assigned territory to support customer needs and business growth
Experience, Education and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred
3+ years of industrial outside sales, fluid power sales, hydraulic repair sales, or related technical sales experience
Working knowledge of hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, and fluid power systems
Fluid Power certification is a plus
Experience selling into steel mills, metals, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial markets is preferred
Knowledge of hydraulic repair services and aftermarket support solutions is preferred
Strong relationship‑building, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Self‑motivated with the ability to manage a territory and work independently
Proficiency with CRM and sales reporting tools
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
