Required Qualifications* Intermedate:
High School Diploma or GED
Certification or satisfactory completion of an equivalent Surgical Technology training program, or a program pending immediate accreditation.
Highly motivated and organized.
Good interpersonal/team skills.
Senior Level:
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
Minimum 3 years experience as a Surgical Technologist
Both:
Must have a commitment to contributing to a positive department culture
Demonstrated ability to work as a part of a team in addition to being able to take direction
Able to prioritize tasks quickly
Physical requirements: This position requires moderate standing/walking, as well as lifting, positioning, pushing and/or transferring of patients. Desired Qualifications*
Experience with scrubbing any of the following: Spine, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, Oral-Maxillofacial, and Thoracic
Experience as a Surgical Technologist.
Ability to scrub all services.

Hours: 36-40 hours
Shift: Day/Night (varying start times)

Union Affiliation This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
