Description
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients of all ages, utilizing standardized tools and observational methods. Craft tailored treatment plans designed to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focused on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing therapies. Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, family members, and caregivers to devise integrated care plans. Provide educational resources to patients and families to enhance progress outside therapy sessions. Facilitate occasional inpatient assessments and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the entire treatment process. Ensure thorough and accurate documentation following relevant state, federal, and organizational regulations. Stay informed about advancements in the field through continued education and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successfully complete a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based practices for all age groups, with a strong grasp of developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders. Outstanding interpersonal communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Capability to modify therapeutic approaches to respect diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Solid clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
