Perform patient evaluations and interpret test results to develop individualized treatment plans Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions in accordance with professional and regulatory standards Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative self-care strategies Guide patients in therapeutic exercises and proper use of equipment Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams on treatment progression and discharge planning Accurately document patient care in the EMR, ensuring compliance and confidentiality Support and supervise physical therapy aides, students, and volunteers within scope of practice Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment and adhere to infection control protocols Participate in continuous learning and incorporate current best practices into patient care
Education/Certification requirements:
Current Colorado physical therapist license required Graduate from an Accredited Physical Therapy Program Successful completion of clinical internship. BLS Certificate within 3 months of hire
Experience Required:
One (1) year of practical physical therapy experience preferred, ideally in orthopedics and sports medicine; new graduates with strong clinical rotations or relevant training are encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements:
This position works in the patient physical therapy gym in a medical practice. The position involves regular walking, sitting, standing, bending, and lifting throughout working hours. The ability to lift objects weighing over 50 pounds is essential, as well as the ability to push wheelchairs and transport/support patients as needed. Candidates must remain constantly alert to ensure patient safety in the workplace.
