Description
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and careful observations. Create tailored therapy strategies that target both immediate objectives and the long-term benefits of communication and swallowing. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that concentrate on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues. Work in tandem with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate seamless care plans. Provide educational resources to patients and their families to encourage progression in therapeutic practices at home. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations to ensure a smooth continuum of care throughout the recovery process. Maintain precise and timely documentation following state, federal, and institutional standards. Stay abreast of new methodologies in the field through ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
