Performing thorough patient evaluations, requesting diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care strategies Diagnosing and addressing acute, intermittent, or chronic health issues either alongside physicians or independently, depending on your credentials Educating patients and their families about preventive measures, wellness initiatives, and chronic disease management Prescribing necessary medications and treatments within your professional boundaries Engaging in follow-up care and chronic illness management Collaborating with mult-disciplinary teams to ensure cohesive, comprehensive care Maintaining meticulous records within electronic medical systems (EMR) Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Licensure and Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a similar specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or able to acquire within 90 days) Essential Skills
Strong clinical judgment complemented by a caring bedside approach Excellent communication abilities with patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals Flexibility in dynamic, patient-oriented settings Experience with EMR systems and comfort with telehealth technologies A commitment to teamwork and adherence to evidence-based practices Highlights of the Role
