Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning all ages utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods. Create tailored treatment strategies that cater to immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Engage patients in one-on-one speech therapy focused on enhancing communication skills, language development, fluency, voice issues, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to establish cohesive treatment plans. Provide education for patients and families to support their progress outside of therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions for comprehensive care continuity. Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to all regulatory guidelines and standards. Stay informed about the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaborative learning with peers. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Hold a valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment commencement. Skills
