Assists in implementing plan of care by performing common clinical procedures and tasks within scope of practice. Assists in making observations, gathering data and identifying patient care needs. Responds appropriately to emergency situations. Assists with patient transport and transfer. Assists with cleaning, stocking and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Adheres to safety and risk management standards.
Required
High School GED General Studies Completion of one of the following that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities:
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program OR Medical Assistant program OR Certified Nursing Assistant Program OR Licensed Practical Nurse program OR Completion of one year of nursing school
Certified Nursing Assistant: WA OR Licensed Practical Nurse: WA OR Medical Assistant Certification: WA OR Registered Nursing Assistant: WA Basic Life Support - CPR Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist: WA, within 6 - months
