Location This position is considered office-first. An office-first employee can flex between in-office work and working from home based on personal or professional need, at the discretion of their supervisor. An office-first employee maintains an office presence at least three days per week at their designated Scooter’s Coffee office location. Scooter’s Coffee is headquartered in Omaha, NE. The successful candidate lives in Omaha, NE. Relocation is not available for this role. Description Living in the IT department, the Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s core technology environment, including enterprise business systems, infrastructure, and end‑user services. This role combines systems administration and business systems support, serving as a bridge between technical operations and business needs. The Systems Administrator collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, IT team members, and external vendors to ensure systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with business processes. This position supports day‑to‑day IT operations while also contributing to system enhancements, process improvements, testing, documentation, and user adoption. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Systems Administration & IT Operations Administer and support Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and Active Directory, including users, groups, and policies Support server, workstation, and cloud environments, including performance monitoring, patching, backups, and security maintenance Assist with implementation, configuration, and support of enterprise systems such as financial, distribution, or operational platforms Work closely with network infrastructure teams to support connectivity and optimize system performance Perform system updates, patch management, and routine maintenance Assist with backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery procedures Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate system, hardware, and software issues as needed Participate in after‑hours or on‑call support when required Business Systems Support & Analysis Partner with stakeholders to gather and clarify system and process requirements Support enterprise systems through configuration, enhancements, and issue resolution Analyze workflows and recommend system or process improvements Serve as a liaison between business teams, IT, and external vendors Support data validation, reporting, and basic analysis as needed Testing, Documentation & Change Support Support system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for enhancements and updates Create and Maintain system documentation, SOPs, workflows, and user guides Assist with training, communication, and adoption of new systems or changes Additional Responsibilities Stay current on relevant technologies and best practices Respond to and resolve support requests via the Zendesk ticketing platform Follow established service levels, documentation, and escalation procedures Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3–5 years of experience in business systems analysis, system administration, or related roles. Strong understanding of enterprise systems (e.g., financial, distribution, or CRM platforms). Experience with learning management systems, financial systems and supply chain systems is a plus Working knowledge of: Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and Group Policy Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills Ability to learn and apply new technologies in a changing environment Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Ability to manage shifting priorities and work independently or as part of a team Ability to respond to after‑hours support needs and participate in on‑call rotation Ability to travel up to 20% to local or regional sites as needed Disclaimer The functions and skills described here are general in nature and represent the type of work performed, but they do not constitute an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities performed on the job.
