Service Operations Assistant

The Service Operations Assistant supports front-end and store service operations by assisting in cashier supervision, customer service, and daily execution of operational standards. This role helps ensure a smooth, efficient checkout process while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and supporting store leadership.

• Assist in overseeing front-end operations, including registers and self-checkout
• Help manage customer flow by monitoring lines and opening/closing lanes as needed
• Provide backup support for cashiers and courtesy clerks during peak periods
• Support service desk functions such as returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries

• Deliver excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers promptly
• Address customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary
• Promote a friendly, helpful, and clean front-end environment
• Ensure a positive overall shopping experience

• Support cash handling procedures, including register counts and accountability
• Ensure adherence to company policies, loss prevention standards, and safety guidelines
• Monitor front-end activities for accuracy and compliance

• Assist in training new front-end associates on procedures and service expectations
• Provide direction and support to team members during shifts
• Reinforce company standards and promote teamwork

• Support store initiatives, promotions, and service goals
• Help maintain supplies and organization at registers and service areas
• Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail or customer service experience required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic leadership or team support experience preferred

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Frequent walking, bending, and reaching
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
