divh2Physical Therapy Assistant/h2pPay Rate: $32/hr on w2 without benefits/ppDuration: 2 months (with possible extension)/ppLocation: Cheraw South Carolina USA 29520/ppSchedule Notes: Shift: M-F until shift is complete/ppOn call info: On call required if requested/ppTravel Area: Chesterfield County covering for LOA/ppONSITE ROLE/ph3Job Description/h3pThe Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery of appropriate physical therapy services within a framework of Interdisciplinary collaboration and consultation. Services are furnished under the supervision of a qualified Licensed Physical Therapist./ph3Essential Functions:/h3ulliAdministers the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist./liliAdministers non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction heat, light, cold, water and electrical modalities to patients./liliAccurately documents daily, weekly or monthly records of clients status. Submits clinical paperwork to the office on time each week./liliAttends educational meetings and coordinates and contributes to department in-services./liliNotifies physical therapist, Clinical Manager or Branch/Clinical Director of any equipment failures, lack of supplies, staff or client changes and any other departmental changes./liliSchedules clients and performs varied office tasks./liliApplies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in performing patient care activities./liliAccepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients./liliPromotes compliance with all fiscal intermediaries and/or other third party payors, through education, coaching and other assistance as necessary./liliPerforms other related duties as assigned or requested./li/ulh3Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/h3ulliUses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills./liliComprehensive knowledge of the physical, emotional, social and biological changes that occur in the geriatric population./liliSelf-directed, enthusiastic and accepts constructive feedback./liliMaintains current licensure certifications and meets mandatory continuing education requirements./liliDemonstrates commitment, professional growth and competency./liliAbility to work a flexible schedule and travel locally./liliAbility to maintain confidentiality./liliDemonstrated ability to work independent and cooperatively as an effective team member./liliAbility to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing and standing. Prolonged standing and walking required. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs and to meet patient/family individualized psycho social needs./liliRequires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity./liliMust read, write and speak fluent English./li/ulh3Skills/h3ulliCurrent state license to practice Physical Therapy - Required/liliProof of current CPR certification - Required/liliCurrent drivers license - Required/liliMust have reliable transportation and insurance - Required/lili2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant - Required/li/ulh3Education/h3pGraduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Required/ph3Qualification Must Have/h3pHealthcare/p/div
