Services are furnished under the supervision of a qualified Licensed Physical Therapist./ph3Essential Functions:/h3ulliAdministers the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist./liliAdministers non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction heat, light, cold, water and electrical modalities to patients./liliAccurately documents daily, weekly or monthly records of clients status. Submits clinical paperwork to the office on time each week./liliAttends educational meetings and coordinates and contributes to department in-services./liliNotifies physical therapist, Clinical Manager or Branch/Clinical Director of any equipment failures, lack of supplies, staff or client changes and any other departmental changes./liliSchedules clients and performs varied office tasks./liliApplies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in performing patient care activities./liliAccepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients./liliPromotes compliance with all fiscal intermediaries and/or other third party payors, through education, coaching and other assistance as necessary./liliPerforms other related duties as assigned or requested./li/ulh3Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/h3ulliUses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills./liliComprehensive knowledge of the physical, emotional, social and biological changes that occur in the geriatric population./liliSelf-directed, enthusiastic and accepts constructive feedback./liliMaintains current licensure certifications and meets mandatory continuing education requirements./liliDemonstrates commitment, professional growth and competency./liliAbility to work a flexible schedule and travel locally./liliAbility to maintain confidentiality./liliDemonstrated ability to work independent and cooperatively as an effective team member./liliAbility to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing and standing. Prolonged standing and walking required.
