Overview We are seeking Principal Embedded Software Engineer to lead development of embedded software powering next-generation autonomous and robotics platforms that enable the future of local commerce and delivery. In this role, you will architect and deliver safety-critical firmware across custom hardware platforms, driving real-time control, sensor integration, connectivity, and hardware–software co-design. You will partner closely with robotics, perception, electrical, systems, and platform engineering teams to bring advanced autonomous products from concept through deployment. Key Responsibilities: Lead architecture and development of embedded firmware for autonomous delivery and robotics systems. Develop reliable, real-time software across MCU and Linux-based embedded environments. Drive hardware bring-up, device drivers, and low-level system optimization. Collaborate across electrical, mechanical, robotics, and systems engineering teams. Define software quality, testing, validation, and release processes. Mentor engineers and establish technical direction across embedded platforms. Preferred Background: Deep expertise in Embedded C/C++, RTOS, Linux, and hardware–software integration. Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, IoT, edge compute, or safety-critical platforms. Strong understanding of sensor interfaces, communication protocols, and system performance optimization. Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives in fast-paced product environments.
