Job Description

The client requires a CNC Technician opportunity with a pioneering art and design studio based in Southeast London (SE18). Internationally recognised for its rich materiality, exceptional craftsmanship, and layered narratives, the studio operates at the intersection of fine art, collectible design, innovative material development, and high-profile commissions.

They are looking for an experienced CNC Technician to join their integrated workshop/design and production facility . This role sits at the intersection of precision engineering and creative experimentation, supporting ambitious work across art, RCD and production projects.

You would take ownership of CNC operations to a high technical and safety standard, while collaborating closely with artists, designers, and fabricators to translate concepts into manufacturable outcomes. The role involves developing and refining CNC processes, supporting material and tooling tests, and contributing to project planning in line with delivery timelines.

They’re seeking someone with proven workshop experience and hands-on use of CNC equipment (laser, router, 3D printing, etc.),CAD capability (ideally Rhino), fluency in CAM software, and confidence working from technical drawings. Experience with G-code, gantry routers or robotic systems (UR) would be advantageous.

This is a role suited to someone who enjoys pushing the capabilities of machinery within a creative environment. You’ll be part of a collaborative, highly skilled team working across a wide range of materials and processes, contributing to work that operates at both elemental scale and fine detail.

It is essential that you have experience creating bespoke or one-off pieces, as this aligns with the role’s requirements.

This is a five-days-per-week workshop-based role in SE18.
