Title : Regional Sales Manager
Reports To : VP of Sales
Location : Remote
Type : Full-Time | Exempt
Job Summary Reports to the Director of Regional Sales regarding day-to-day sales, merchandising, new business development, and new product introductions of Pero Family Farms Vegetable Products. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for account retention and other sales and marketing strategies throughout the assigned market territories. This role focuses on developing new customers and maintaining existing relationships, as well as extending opportunities with current customers. The position oversees and is accountable for business development and sales operations in the assigned regions, with potential direction from the VP National Sales or the Sales Advisory Board to maximize sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, and managing costs and shrinkage. The role includes selecting, managing, directing and evaluating distributors, merchandising agencies, and/or partner companies in the region in collaboration with the sales and marketing organization. The position also builds revenue through market strategies and proposal development with creative concepts and approaches.
Primary Responsibilities
Build and direct efforts in business development resulting in bringing in new business and accounts.
Support existing clients in new/additional requirements and expand sales with existing and new products.
Implement sales and marketing strategy in collaboration with the VP National Sales and Pero sales organization to achieve financial targets.
Provide excellent client satisfaction.
Attend presentations, conferences, and client meetings as required.
Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.
Control shrink and expenses when possible for the client company.
Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels.
Periodically review trends and recommend changes to maximize goals and objectives.
Create and build partner (vendor) relationships as required and when requested.
Explore and propose new revenue opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (e.g., marketing, finance, management).
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in fresh produce, food, or perishable goods; value-added, retail experience required.
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
PC literate with knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Knowledge of spreadsheet software is essential.
Knowledge of the internet and website e-commerce.
Professional appearance and strong verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and multi-task effectively.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to travel frequently.

Salary : $90,000 to $135,000
